STARTUP INNOVATION HUB, STARTUPS IN ACTION
For the second consecutive year, eDelivery Barcelona had an exhibition area dedicated to emerging companies that, this year, expanded by 30% in size. It took the shape of the Startup Innovation Hub, a space for groundbreaking companies with solutions that impact eCommerce logistics and supply chains to make themselves known.
To launch this Startup Innovation Hub, we benefitted from the collaboration of La Salle Technova. Thanks to this collaboration, startups could present their creative and innovative solutions to corporations, investors and corporate ventures from all over the world. In a five-minute pitch in front of clients, suppliers, investors, potential partners and a generally specialised international audience, these companies had the opportunity to showcase their innovative projects.
In addition, the participating startups also took part in a 22-week acceleration programme that connected them with other companies in the logistics sector, as well as with investors who financed their growth. It is the first trade fair accelerator dedicated to the logistics sector created by the Barcelona Free Zone and La Salle Technova Barcelona.
WE REWARDED THE BEST STARTUP AND THE BEST INNOVATION
At the Startup Innovation Hub, we also had the opportunity to recognise the best participating startup, an award that went to Original Repack, a company that offers a reusable and sustainable packaging service. The award for the Best Innovation presented at the EDelivery Barcelona was won by Geever for its solution for last-mile distribution that adapts to the everyday lives of users.
